Ragging in any form is totally prohibited in the campus of Institute of Innovation in Technology & Management. The Management of the Institute is committed to following “UGC Regulations on Curbing the Menace of Ragging in Higher Educational Institute, 2009 (Under Section 26 (1) (g) of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956”.
Ragging means any act, conduct or practice by which the dominant power or status of senior students is brought to bear on students freshly enrolled or students who are in any way considered junior or inferior by other students. It includes individual or collective acts or practices which
- Involve physical assault or threat, and/or use of physical force.
- Violate the status, dignity and honour of women students and the students belonging to the scheduled castes and tribes.
- Expose students to ridicule and contempt and affect their self-esteem.
- Entail verbal abuse and aggression, indecent gestures and obscene behavior.
The Anti-Ragging Committee is constituted every year which takes various precautionary measures to prevent ragging on the Institute campus. It ensures the implementation of all regulations of the UGC about curbing the menace of ragging in higher educational institutions as per the directives of the honourable Supreme Court of India. The names of all the committee members along with their mobile numbers are displayed at noticeable places in the College and on the College website. The complaint box/suggestion box placed in the Institute at reception area.

Administrative action against the Ragging:
The anti-ragging committee of the Institute shall take an appropriate decision, in regard to punishment or otherwise, depending on the facts of each incident of ragging and nature and gravity of the incident of ragging established in the recommendations of the Anti-Ragging Squad.
The Institute shall punish a student found guilty or ragging after following the procedure and in manner prescribed herein under:
- Suspension from attending classes and academic privileges.
- Withholding / withdrawing scholarship / fellowship and other benefits.
- Debarring from appearing in any test / examination or other evaluation process.
- Withholding results.
- Debarring from representing the Institute in any regional, national or international meet, tournament, youth festival, etc.
- Suspension / expulsion from the Institute.
- Cancelation of admission.
- Rustication from the Institute for period ranging from one to six semesters.
- Expulsion from the Institute and consequent debarring from admission to any other Institute / university for a specified period.
